Mendelian Society of India was founded in the year 1984 as a commemorative tribute to Gregor Johann Mendel on his death centenary and with a view to serve as an effective communication linkage among the interdisciplinary workers in the field of Science. This is an International Professional Society registered under the Societies Registration Act XXI of 1860 ( No. 175 / 85 ) operating on a no-profit basis. President's Message
It gives me immense pleasure to put on record that Mendelian Society of India has done a commendable job of publishing Int. J. Mendel for the last three decades, and by doing so it has served the noble cause of disseminating scientific knowledge and findings of original research endeavours of a wide spectrum of esteemed and devoted research workers over the global horizons of science. Moreover, the Society has also shown its keen interest in arranging scientific conferences, symposia and discourses over a good number of topical themes permeating through cross currents of evolving scientific sub-disciplines and areas. This has gone a long way towards achieving its broad mission nicely befitting its self emulated vision.
